Are you in need of art?
Why settle for clip art when you can have a personalized portrait?
How to get a hold of me.
Generally, I work off the "friends of friends/past clients" policy. It's not a matter of being snobby or exclusive, it's a matter of speed. Most often they'll give you an email or give me your icq, because I don't put strangers on my contact list. If I write you or message you, contact me back. Otherwise I'm not chasing you down. Look at the number of people who have had portraits done here, or send mail to art (at) greencat (net) (but if you do that, please put portrait in the subject line).
What I need.
I generally need the following things: A description of the character being done, including eye color. Type of character (profession)/general personality Preference of indoor/outdoor setting. Any particular favorite colors, jewelry, or other items that seem important.
Any links to stories/journals written IC are helpful. Helps lots. Style of pic preferred (portrait/action/etc)
Generally the more you mention the less I need to ask. Don't ever send me attachments unless I ask for them first.
Additionally, if there's a particular style of outfit or hair, or how someone's standing/sitting you've seen in the gallery that you especially liked and want "similar to that", let me know, or if the character "looks like" someone.
Yes I do..
All styles of hair found in game. Want two ponytails? I got it.
Horses of all kinds, including nightmares, and unicorns. Cats, dogs, and even frogs are doable. Just ask about the exotic zoo!
Humans, elves, half this, parts of that.
Jewelry from ordinary to exotic.
Illustrations for your character stories! Need a scene for your flashback story (orcs slaughtering your parents, now on special)? Let me know.
Sigs, avatars, and wallpapers. In fact, it's easier for me to resize things than you, for higher quality purposes.
Charges and changes.
If I'm not charging you for whatever reason, you get approximately three changes, more or less depending on my mood. After that I start wondering why I'm not charging you.
If I am charging you, it's a few more than that before my tolerance grows thin and I consider upping my price.
When a picture is on the main page, it's done. I don't go back and tinker with it. If you want another pic, same subject, discount rates apply.
My prices are reasonable and generally not posted due to the unique nature of each portrait. Once you're "created", your character is backed up on CD for easy reference, and because I can't keep everything on my computer.
Payment
Life isn't what it used to be, and neither is my time. The time I spend comes directly out of gaming time. As such, if you provide me with in game gold or rares, or even hard to get semis, I like that a lot. I also take raw materials, because the less time I have to collect, the more time I can spend having fun in game and cranking out pictures when I'm not. If you're playing UO, then I only take payment on my shard. I like potted plants, green hooded shrouds, and new minor artifacts, if you'd like multiple pictures or something really complicated. I also love book stacks, fur rugs, special leather in bulk and tapestries anytime.
